A good time was had by all as we learned about Chinese New Year history and the traditions surrounding this interesting holiday during Lifelong Learning Payap’s event: Chinese New Year – What Is It and How Is It Celebrated? What to give as a gift and what not to give. What goes in the red envelope. Which Zodiac animal is associated with the 2024 Lunar New Year. After the lecture, the group got hands-on as they made traditional Chinese dumplings, considered to be one of the seven lucky foods for the New Year. And last but not least, we devoured every last dumpling!
