Further Details: Aj. Dr. Chris Baker and Aj. Prof. Dr. Pasuk Pongpanich will speak about their current work translating the Poetry of the Thai Kings into English.
The speakers are a husband and wife team who have written and translated many many books and articles. Aj. Prof. Dr. Pasuk is an Associate Professor at Chulalongkorn University. She and Dr. Chris (and other co-authors) have written about the Thai economy, politics, literature and history.
Together in 2017 they were awarded the Fukuoka Grand Prize for their contribution to Asian culture.
