DESCRIPTION:Description:\nOver 100 museums in Chiang Mai preserve and communicate natural and cultural heritage in Northern Thailand. This presentation focuses upon the history of their development and support by ommunities\, temples and government administration. Discover historic buildings\, archaeological sites\, natural documentation and conservation\, temple\, art and ethnographic collections\, including smaller niche museums and those created by universities and government agencies. The presentation will also introduce a national museum database\, offering enrichment to travel in Thailand Rebecca Weldon\, who has a background in anthropology and the philosophy of museums\, has lived most of her life in this region\, working with and advising museums in both Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai This talk is the first of our museum series\, and beginning in June\, Rebecca Weldon will lead monthly museum excursions. DESCRIPTION:Description:\nLearn to create memorable photographs with any camera including a phone instead of taking snapshots. Realize that a camera is just a tool to craft an image. We will cover picture taking techniques including composition and lighting. The factors in each composition technique will be reinforced through discussion of example images. Example subjects will include city streets\, markets\, landmarks\, landscapes\, festivals\, flora\, architecture\, sunrises/sunsets and after dark. We will also explore several AI options that can help enhance your photographs. \nPresenter: Doug Mann\nDoug Mann (a.k.a. PhotoMann) has been a part-time freelance travel photographer for 35 years while he was pursuing a full time engineering career. His travels have taken him to 60 countries\nand he’s now settled in Chiang Mai. PhotoMann was an early adopter of the WWW with the creation of his first photography web site in 1994. Time Magazine International (July 1\, 1996)named The Adventures of PhotoMann web site as a top recommended site to discover fascinating places to visit in Asia.
