Description:

On 1 January 1922, after 15 years of construction, the Chiang Mai Railway Station finally opened. In this illustrated talk, Graham JefCoate, will introduce us to the Northern Line project that linked the northern capital by rail with Bangkok (1907-1922). He will also explain the significance of the project for Chiang Mai and the north in the years that followed.

The talk will include important background information for those attending the rail excursion to Lampang on Friday
