Since we first visited the McKean Senior Center two years ago, there have been some major changes on the site. The museum has been expanded, several heritage buildings, including the McClanahan Theater and Nielson Hays Memorial Building, have been restored and new information about them has become available.
Join us on a return visit to what was originally Dr McKean’s Leper Village and learn about the Center’s vision for this extraordinary heritage site.
Graham Jefcoate will lead this guided walk and provide notes. There will be an opportunity to take open-air refreshments on the way. The excursion will be limited to 15 participants, so make sure you register ASAP if you wish to attend!
