Micro Documentary Film Workshop

Micro Documentary Film Workshop

Dates: Tuesday 14 July and Thursday 16 July 2026

Time: 9:30 – 12:00 pm

Description

This Micro Documentary Workshop provides a unique opportunity to learn the basics of filmmaking from an independent filmmaker. Participants will gain hands-on experience making a short self-portrait video that serves as a mirror and a way to remember them. The instructor will teach simple filmmaking techniques such as archival footage, voice-overs, and basic video editing.

The two-session workshop is designed for introductory-level filmmakers, but those with film production experience are welcome to attend. While making the video, participants are invited to recall a moment in their lives that had a significant impact.

The films will be created using mobile phones with cameras. All participants must bring a mobile phone to both sessions of the Workshop.
