Wildlife in Northern Thailand: Excursion to the Chiang Mai Zoo
With Dr. Nantiya Aggimarangsee, Professor at the Department of Biology, Chiang Mai University
Delve into the world of animal psychology with veteran animal behavior specialist, Dr. Nantiya. You will study the behavior of primates at the Chiang Mai Zoo, and if time permits, visit the elephants and birds. You will learn how to safely interact with elephants and wild animals so that you can be assured of a positive experience at your next visit to an elephant sanctuary or national park. Dr. Nantiya has a background in primate behavior, conservation biology and
natural agriculture and is a professor at Chiang Mai University.
At the start of your trip, Rebecca Weldon will give a brief presentation of the history of the zoo and its founder, Harold Young.
Electric vehicles will be available for transport and walking will be easy.
