Description
Faces are a fabulous subject. Learn or reinforce the fundamentals of rendering the head and its features. We’ll start out with generic subjects and move on to specific portraits, exploring the skills needed to capture the physical and psychological aspects of portraiture.
Drawing is the foundation of the course. Students will practice using gesture, line, light and shadow, and composition before moving on to basic watercolor. The class provides tried and true techniques while simultaneously encouraging artistic exploration.
Materials
Watercolor (local brands): Canson, MasterArt, Renaissance A4(recommended), (check for paper weight-140lb/300 GSM) Additional brands are available in select locations and online.
