Dr Tamthai, who earned rave reviews from LLL Payap for his talk on the Challenges of Peacebuilding in Thailand, is a polymath with a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science from Indiana University.

He is currently a faculty member of the Peace Studies department at Payap University. Formerly he was a member of the National Reconciliation Commission for Southern Thailand; the head of the government’s committee to engage in peace talks with the Patani armed groups, and a member of the group of 5 experts advising on the peace talks between the Thai government and Muslim separatists.

Clearly, Dr Tamthai’s background and experience make him the ideal person to present this topic.
