Lanna Architecture Center is under the management of the Faculty of Architecture Chiang Mai University. It is intended to be the center for collecting, storing, displaying and studying Lanna architectural from the past to the present.  Khum Chao Burirat (Maha In), which is an old building more than 120 years old, was given to Chiang Mai University to  be used as Office of Lanna Architecture Center under the supervision and  the work of the Architecture faculty. Khum Chao Burirat (Maha In) is an example of architecture that combines the local and western characteristics.
