This lecture/performance, given by the accomplished academic and dancer Aj. Waewdao Sirisook, focused on the dance of Lanna and its revitalization in recent years. It ncluded the culture and history of Lanna dance, the genre and forms of the dance due to various ethnic groups in Lanna, the textiles and costumes used in dance, as well as a demonstration of significant Lanna dances including both those used in rituals and those which are adapted from domestic life. The lecture and demonstration also explained how Lanna people treat dance as an offering within the Lanna belief system.
